Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver at Tesco, you represent the company directly to customers by delivering groceries to their homes. This role is much more than just driving; it involves providing excellent customer service with a friendly attitude. The position is physically engaging, hands-on, and varied daily, with the autonomy of working independently while having support from the team at the store.

Availability

• Sunday: 09:00 to 23:00
• Wednesday: 18:30 to 23:00
• Friday: 09:00 to 23:00
• Saturday: 09:00 to 23:00

Key Duties

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your van, trays, and workspace to ensure all orders reach customers in perfect condition.
• Safely load the delivery van and perform necessary checks to guarantee it is roadworthy and reliable for service.
• Communicate clearly with customers about any changes, substitutions, or short-dated products in their orders, offering refunds when appropriate to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Handle all products carefully, treating each order with great care to uphold quality and customer trust.
• Deliver orders within the assigned time slots, delivering warm and genuine service that leaves customers feeling valued.

Candidate Requirements

• Build strong, positive relationships with colleagues to foster great teamwork and excellent customer service.
• Be friendly, approachable, and welcoming to both customers and team members.
• Adapt quickly to changing needs of customers and be flexible while working both on the road and in the store environment.
• Hold a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (full or automatic) held for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
