Job Overview

This position requires completing all cooking and kitchen duties onsite at a restaurant. The successful candidate will manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff supervision, ensuring efficient and quality service.

Language and Education

• Proficiency in English is required.
• Must have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

Applicants should have between one and two years of relevant cooking or kitchen experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine portion sizes and calculate food costs accurately.
• Plan menus and estimate the quantity of necessary ingredients.
• Request and manage food and kitchen supply requisitions.
• Prepare and cook complete meals as well as individual dishes.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas regularly to maintain standards.
• Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and proper food handling.
• Order kitchen supplies and equipment as required.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Oversee all kitchen activities to ensure compliance with policies and quality standards.
