Role Overview
The Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) Program Manager based in Halifax leads the overall management, growth, and effective delivery of the Continuing Care Assistant Program within Oxford International Education Group Career College. This position ensures operational efficiency, exceptional student experiences, and compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Steer the program’s growth, operational success, and achievement of enrollment, student outcomes, quality, and financial targets.
- Formulate and implement strategies to boost enrollment, cultivate industry partnerships, refine delivery methods, and sustain program expansion.
- Oversee budgeting, workforce planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and ongoing process enhancements.
- Analyze market trends, workforce requirements, and regulatory updates to identify opportunities and manage risks for long-term program viability.
- Lead and develop a team comprising instructors and program staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, innovation, and continuous enhancement.
- Ensure adherence to institutional policies, regulatory standards, quality assurance, and accreditation requirements.
- Supervise curriculum execution, academic quality, practicum activities, and student milestones to maintain consistent, high-quality educational experiences.
- Build and sustain partnerships with healthcare providers, practicum organizations, regulators, and community groups to support student placements and graduate employment.
- Collaborate with multiple departments—including admissions, marketing, student and career services, curriculum, compliance, and campus leadership—to promote enrollment, student achievement, and operational excellence.
- Monitor key performance metrics and utilize data-driven insights for continuous improvement and strategic development.
- Occasionally deliver classroom, lab, or practicum instruction to support program continuity and student success.
Candidate Requirements
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada and a clear criminal background check.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification in Canada.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) is required; a Master's degree is beneficial.
- Post-secondary teaching certification or credential in adult education.
- At least 5 years healthcare sector experience, including 2-3 years in educational, training, or curriculum development roles.
- Experience managing academic programs in colleges, universities, or private career colleges.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory bodies and accreditation standards.
- Proven skills in curriculum development, learning outcome assessment, and instructional design for healthcare education.

- Demonstrated ability to scale academic programs or operational units effectively.
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and meeting revenue or enrollment goals.
- Strategic planning and execution expertise to translate plans into measurable results.
