Role Overview

Within the HR Technology Capabilities team, the Consultant for Workday Reporting and Data plays a crucial role in advancing Northern Trust's HR digital transformation initiatives. This position supports HR by developing advanced reporting solutions and business intelligence tools to facilitate data-driven talent management and organizational growth decisions across multiple HR functional areas such as compensation, time management, and talent acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver effective reporting solutions while proactively anticipating reporting demands.
  • Implement changes to reports that reflect updates in business processes and security parameters per requirements.
  • Address ad hoc HR data inquiries by compiling, analyzing, and presenting data from various systems.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of HR and financial data in compliance with company standards.
  • Identify and recommend efficiencies to improve HR workflows through enhanced reporting capabilities.
  • Mentor junior report writers and data stewards in understanding and utilizing Workday reporting functionalities.
  • Manage data extraction and collection processes to promote data accuracy and procedural efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Solid intermediate to advanced expertise in developing complex Workday reports, including advanced reports, discovery boards, composite reports, trending reports, and calculated fields tailored for HR contexts.
  • Deep understanding of data requirements for effective analysis and business management.
  • Strong analytical skills to detect and resolve inconsistencies within data records.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with Prism Analytics and Core HCM platforms is advantageous.
  • Three to five years of professional experience in any HR-related discipline.

Employment Requirements
