Primary Responsibilities
The Construction Inspector role involves on-site construction observation and detailed documentation for assigned projects. While the position is based in our Fredonia office, regular travel to various field locations is required. Key duties include interpreting construction documents, preparing field reports, and maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Prior experience and expertise in inspecting roads, stormwater utilities, water and sanitary sewer lines, and storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP).
- A minimum of 3-5 years of construction inspection experience, or a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture paired with 1-3 years of inspection work.
- Knowledgeable in erosion and sediment control installation and maintenance practices.
- Possession of OSHA 10-hour certification is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical.
- Additional certifications may be required depending on project needs.
Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $35 to $45, dependent on relevant experience, educational background, and location factors.
