Position Overview
The Computer Vision Engineer will be based full-time onsite in Doha, Qatar. This role requires designing, developing, and optimizing computer vision algorithms aimed at tasks like detection, recognition, tracking, and segmentation. Responsibilities include building and training models, assessing their performance against practical data sets, and deploying vision-based solutions within production, including robotics or automation systems when applicable.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as data scientists, software developers, and product managers is essential to translate business requirements into technical designs, conduct experimental evaluations, and deliver reliable, scalable implementations. The role also encompasses documenting methodologies, upholding high coding standards, and staying updated on the latest advancements in computer vision and related technologies.
Candidate Qualifications
- Proficient in computer vision and pattern recognition techniques for enhancing visual perception algorithms.
- Strong grounding in computer science and data science to develop efficient algorithms, manage data workflows, and analyze model outcomes.
- Experience working with robotics or similar hardware-integrated systems to deploy computer vision solutions in real-world environments.
- Skilled in AI-focused programming languages such as Python and C++, along with expertise in deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multicultural cross-disciplinary teams.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or related fields, and prior involvement with computer vision projects or AI-driven products.
