Cleaning Assistant - Afternoon/Evening

About the Role

Canadian Base Operators in Southport, Manitoba is expanding its team and seeks a dedicated Cleaning Assistant to join their hardworking, innovative workforce supporting the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) through Kelowna Aerospace Defence Programs. This is a full-time, permanent role under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, with shift hours Monday to Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean all indoor areas including classrooms, hangars, offices, shared spaces, and high-touch points
• Dust removal
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and furniture
• Sweep, mop, and polish floors
• Sanitize restrooms
• Collect and sort garbage and recycling materials
• Properly use and store cleaning supplies
• Restock paper products
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies during all activities

Experience and Skills

• Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory as training will be provided

• Physical ability to bend and lift items up to 50 lbs
• Professional demeanor
• Must be eligible to obtain an Enhanced Reliability Clearance by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate
