Role Overview

We are looking for a dependable and diligent Cleaner/Porter to join our evening shift team in Saskatoon. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting atmosphere for both staff and clients, focusing on detailed cleaning within administrative and passenger zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cleaning of the administrative office, covering all surfaces, fixtures, and equipment.
• Maintain the hold room area to high standards of cleanliness and order.
• Wipe down tables and chairs after each flight departure.
• Thoroughly sweep carpets post-flight to remove debris and maintain aesthetics.
• Dust window ledges completely in all assigned sections.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in common and office areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners consistently.
• Dust and clean surfaces including desks and equipment.
• Sanitize restrooms and replenish necessary supplies.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and reporting issues.
• Ensure cleaning tools and supplies are well-maintained and properly stored.
• Adhere to safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment.
• Assist in setting up and dismantling meeting or event spaces when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility at all times.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning methods and the correct use of cleaning equipment.
• Strong focus on detail and ability to work efficiently and independently or with a team.
• Good time management capabilities.
• Physical fitness to perform cleaning duties over a shift.
• Reliability in transportation for evening shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• WHMIS certification is a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings and occasionally on weekends.
• Commitment to a strong work ethic and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
