Role Summary

This position is for a day-shift Class 4 curtain-sider truck driver with strong knowledge of the Auckland region and prior metro driving experience. The role focuses on the safe, punctual collection and delivery of LCL freight throughout Auckland.

Key Duties

• Carry out freight pickups and deliveries efficiently throughout Auckland.
• Make sure cargo is secured properly and transported in line with NZTA requirements.
• Perform pre-departure and post-trip inspections each day.
• Keep the truck clean, tidy, and in roadworthy condition.
• Complete delivery documentation accurately and use driver applications such as Allotrac.
• Escalate damage, mechanical faults, or other concerns without delay.
• Coordinate with dispatch and assist the wider team whenever required.

Experience and Requirements

Applicants should bring at least 3 years of experience operating heavy rigid vehicles of 18,000kg or more. Hands-on curtain-sider driving experience is essential, along with a current full Class 4 licence and a Dangerous Goods endorsement.

Strong familiarity with the NZ Road Code and Heavy Vehicle Loading Code is required. Experience handling LCL freight is preferred, and candidates should know Auckland metro routes well. Good time management, clear communication, comfort with mobile apps and digital paperwork, and a strong safety focus with close attention to detail are also important.
