Chief Technology Officer

About the Role

As the Chief Technology Officer at Corporación Damasco, you will take the helm of the company’s technological vision, ensuring that all software solutions and technical initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives. This full-time, on-site position based in Venezuela requires a proactive leader to drive technology strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly manage engineering and product teams, guiding day-to-day operations and overseeing system architecture and software development processes.
• Set technology priorities by evaluating and approving core technology projects, investments, and new tools or platforms.
• Design and implement technical standards for quality assurance, security, and system performance.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure technology initiatives support the company’s vision and business strategy.
• Establish best practices in information security and advocate for modern trends such as cloud solutions, microservices, and digital transformation.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven success in software development and system architecture, capable of leading complex technical design and review processes.
• Comprehensive project management and product development skills, including planning, delivery tracking, and cross-functional team coordination.
• Deep knowledge of IT strategy, technology governance, and aligning technology efforts with business priorities.
• University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a closely related field; postgraduate qualifications or certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Scrum) will be considered a plus.
• Exceptional leadership abilities, strong communication skills, a data-driven approach to decision-making, and adaptability in fast-changing environments.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, security best practices, and emerging trends in the technology sector.
