Position Overview
PX3 Medical is searching for a Chief Operating Officer to spearhead the development, leadership, and scaling of our permanent placement division. This role transcends traditional COO duties by involving hands-on search execution and commercial leadership, aimed at driving divisional growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full accountability for the division's overall performance, growth trajectory, and profit margins.
- Manage a portfolio of strategic recruitment searches and foster key client relationships during the initial phase.
- Recruit, nurture, and retain a high-performing permanent placement team.
- Oversee search methodologies targeting physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and healthcare executives.
- Establish standards for production, tracking, forecasting, and enforce accountability.
- Ensure candidate quality, search efficiency, client satisfaction, and conversion rates meet targets.
- Plan division-wide hiring, compensation models, and resource distribution.
- Drive expansion of current accounts and cultivate new client partnerships.
- Implement systems, workflows, and technology to enhance search operations and scalability.
- Develop leadership and succession plans within the recruiting teams.
- Coordinate synergy between permanent placement and other company service lines.
- Formulate a strategic growth blueprint with clear financial milestones and execution plans.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven leadership background in healthcare recruitment, physician staffing, executive search, or a closely related staffing field.
- Track record of success as both a hands-on individual contributor and an organizational leader.
- Hands-on experience building, restructuring, or substantially growing a recruitment business.
- Strong command of revenue ownership, profitability, forecasting, and operational management.
- Deep understanding of recruitment economics and performance-driven compensation systems.
- Capability to attract, develop, and retain talented recruiters and leadership personnel.
- Exhibit executive presence when interacting with clients, candidates, and internal teams.
- Readiness to make challenging decisions regarding performance and resource allocation.
- Able to create organizational structure while avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Experience working closely with dynamic entrepreneurial CEOs in growth-stage companies.
Success Metrics
Effectiveness in this position will be evaluated based on revenue growth, team productivity, speed of search completions, quality of candidate placements, client retention, forecasting precision, leadership cultivation, and scalability of division operations.
Compensation and Incentives
Base salary ranges between $180,000 and $230,000 annually accompanied by executive performance bonuses. Target total compensation is projected to be between $1,180,000 and over $1,430,000. Opportunities for profit-sharing or equity participation will be evaluated depending on experience and final arrangements.
