1XL Rent A Car is positioning itself ambitiously to become a leading mobility service provider in the UAE, planning to expand to a substantial 1,000-vehicle fleet. The company operates across various segments such as daily and monthly rentals, corporate leasing, subscription services, electric vehicle (EV) solutions, and chauffeur-driven cars.

Role Overview

We are searching for a visionary and result-oriented Chief Executive Officer to spearhead the strategic growth and operational scale-up of the business. This executive role reports directly to the Board/owners and holds comprehensive responsibility over the company’s profit and loss. The CEO will develop institutional capabilities, secure fleet financing, and implement a 3–5 year expansion plan aimed at establishing 1XL Rent A Car as a premier regional mobility provider.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive execution of a strategic roadmap to scale the fleet size to 1,000 vehicles while enhancing revenue streams across corporate leasing, B2B outsourcing, EV rentals, and limousine services.
• Hold full accountability for financial metrics including revenue per available vehicle/day, average daily rate, EBITDA margins, and net profit, in addition to leading financing initiatives through bank and leasing structures like Ijarah and Murabaha.
• Oversee procurement, fleet replacement cycles, telematics integration, and vehicle remarketing strategies to maximize vehicle utilization and minimize downtime.
• Develop and strengthen commercial channels including partnerships with B2B clients, airport concessions, online travel agencies, and direct digital booking platforms.
• Maintain strict compliance with UAE transport regulations governed by authorities such as RTA in Dubai and ITC in Abu Dhabi and other Emirates.
• Lead the company’s digital transformation by implementing app-based contactless rental experiences, telematics, and data-driven dynamic pricing models.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance leadership team, champion Emiratisation initiatives, and uphold robust corporate governance standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess 12 to 15+ years of relevant experience in car rental, fleet/mobility management, automotive leasing, or logistics, with a minimum of 5 years in senior leadership roles having full profit and loss responsibility.
• Demonstrate a proven record in growing asset-heavy fleet operations and managing complex fleet financing and leasing agreements.
• Have comprehensive knowledge of UAE and GCC transport regulations such as RTA and ITC, along with experience navigating the commercial environment and vehicle procurement from OEMs and dealerships.
• Exhibit expertise in leading digital transformation projects, telematics system implementations, and technology-driven customer experience enhancements.
• Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree; an MBA or other postgraduate qualifications are highly preferred.
