About the Role

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is recruiting a Cargo Screener to work at Stansted Airport in Essex, England. This role focuses on conducting thorough x-ray screenings of all cargo items to ensure compliance with aviation security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray screening equipment to inspect all cargo intending to enter the airport area.
• Manage emergency situations by following established response protocols.
• Maintain detailed incident logs and provide both written and oral reports to Security Managers and Supervisors.
• Adhere strictly to Aviation Security local operating procedures, practices, and protocols.
• Complete mandatory aviation security training in compliance with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) standards.
• Achieve and maintain compliance and throughput goals set by the Department for Transport (DfT), CAA, and the Security Management Team.
• Engage proactively in continuous improvement initiatives and personal development.
• Use all equipment strictly in accordance with training guidelines.
• Meet and sustain competency standards monitored through performance evaluations.
• Exhibit behaviors that reflect and promote the company's brand values consistently.
