About the Role

Pinnacle Group Limited seeks a skilled Caretaker to join our Facilities Management team at Arbour Vale School in Slough. The successful candidate will ensure that the buildings and facilities are well-maintained, secure, fully operational, and comply with Health & Safety standards.

This full-time position involves working alternating shifts, either from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM or 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine caretaking tasks daily, addressing repairs logged via the Help Desk or reported by the Site Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness of school grounds through litter picking, emptying external bins, sweeping external areas, and inspecting toilets.
• Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance duties following the school’s schedule, including twice-weekly flushing of water outlets, weekly sprinkler and fire alarm tests, monthly checks on fire doors and extinguishers.
• Manage emergency incidents such as floods, spills, and body fluid cleanups in line with established procedures, ensuring timely rectification.
• Conduct minor repair and decoration tasks as needed.
• Proactively identify and address facility defects or promptly escalate issues to the Site Manager or Senior Caretaker.

Candidate Profile

• Proficient in general handyperson skills including basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs, and DIY.
• Exemplary customer service aptitude and an approachable demeanor.
• Capable of collaborating effectively within a team and liaising with external service providers.
