About the Role
We are seeking dedicated Care Workers to join our Singleton aged care facilities, offering a compassionate and supportive environment for elderly residents. This position involves full-time hours with casual vacancies and requires availability for all shifts including AM, PM, and Night Duty. The hourly rate is $36.23 plus superannuation, salary packaging benefits, and more.
Location
The role is based in Singleton, a peaceful rural town in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, Australia.
Facilities
Our Singleton sites include Elizabeth Gates, a cosy aged care home with 35 residents, and Alroy House, comprising two households with approximately 24-25 residents each, including a secure Memory Support Unit specializing in dementia care. The community is supported by a Homemaker who helps ensure meaningful and enjoyable activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care, companionship, and emotional support to residents, promoting independence and enhancing quality of life.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as personal hygiene, dressing, showering, meals, and mobility support.
- Support medication administration and basic wound care.
- Facilitate resident participation in community-based recreational and social events.

Candidate Profile
- Preferably holds a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or a related qualification; support for acquiring qualifications is available.
- Previous experience in aged or community care is valued; passion to start a career in aged care is welcomed.
- Demonstrates adaptability, empathy, and resourcefulness while embodying Uniting's values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
