Role Overview
Join a major and highly demanding business division as a Business Process Analyst on a 12-month contract in Brisbane. This position involves developing, improving, and standardizing business operations processes especially in relation to a newly secured Defence contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to capture and document existing processes.
- Create and update detailed process maps for emerging and evolving operational areas.
- Support the establishment and harmonization of procedures aligned with a Defence contract awarded recently.
- Lead workshops aimed at eliciting business requirements, workflows, and identifying dependencies.
- Perform gap analyses to pinpoint opportunities enhancing process efficiency.
- Convert business needs into comprehensive documentation, including procedures and process artefacts.
- Assist with rolling out new operating models, governance structures, and business practices.
- Engage with cross-functional groups—operations, delivery, leadership—to promote alignment and consistency.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in business analysis within intricate enterprise settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in mapping and refining business processes.
- Background in supporting operational functions rather than only project assignments.
- Strong capabilities in stakeholder engagement and conducting facilitation workshops.
- Meticulous documentation skills with high attention to detail.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and pioneering innovative work methodologies.
- Pragmatic and results-driven approach, ready to engage hands-on when needed.
- Experience in Defence or Government-related operational environments.
