Job Summary
The Business Intelligence Analyst will act as both a technical analytics specialist and a cross-functional business partner. You will work with Finance, Operations, HR, Marketing, IT, and senior leaders to convert complex business questions into dependable data solutions. The role requires strong skills in SQL, Python, BI platforms, and cloud-based data tools, along with good judgment, curiosity, and the ability to explain insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support interactive dashboards, visualizations, and self-service reporting tools using Sigma, Power BI, or comparable platforms.
- Turn data from accounting, finance, operations, HR, marketing, and other business systems into clear and actionable reporting outputs.
- Create recurring and ad hoc reports covering KPIs, trends, variance analysis, performance drivers, and business impact.
- Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, PySpark, cloud orchestration tools, APIs, databases, flat files, and third-party systems.
- Build and maintain data models, schemas, semantic layers, and warehouse structures, including dimensional models, to support consistent analytics.
- Write efficient complex SQL, improve data workflows, and enhance storage, retrieval, processing speed, and reliability in reporting environments.
- Support forecasting, segmentation, optimization, experimentation, and data science work by preparing trusted datasets and reusable data assets.
- Assess and use AI-enabled analytics tools, including generative AI and large language models, to improve automation, exploration, insight generation, and productivity.
- Use AI and LLM tools in line with privacy, security, governance, validation, and documentation expectations.
- Work with stakeholders across finance, operations, HR, marketing, IT, analytics, and leadership to define needs and align data work with business priorities.
- Define and standardize KPIs, assist with budgeting and forecasting analysis, and identify opportunities to lower costs, grow revenue, and improve efficiency.
- Protect data quality, consistency, security, and compliance through validation checks, access controls, monitoring, documentation, and governance practices.
- Validate, clean, reconcile, and investigate data to resolve discrepancies, reporting problems, and process gaps.
- Automate manual reporting, improve data processes, document business logic and reporting standards, and keep current with BI, analytics, AI, and data engineering trends.
