Business Data Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Data Analyst focused on Parking Development to aid in advancing a substantial municipal parking network through comprehensive data analysis, operational reporting, and ongoing improvement efforts. This role emphasizes interpreting data, assessing performance, and delivering actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Work Environment

This role is based in Toronto, Ontario, operating in a hybrid model that requires three days onsite per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine operational, financial, and customer datasets to pinpoint trends, evaluate performance, and suggest business recommendations that guide decision-making.
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, key performance indicators, and performance metrics that offer valuable insights to leadership and project teams.
• Assist in business analysis tasks, including gathering requirements, mapping business processes, and highlighting opportunities for operational enhancements.
• Manage project activities by tracking schedules, mitigating risks, and supporting the deployment of operational and technological initiatives.
• Participate in user acceptance testing, validate systems, and conduct post-implementation reviews to verify successful delivery of business needs.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate customer experience initiatives and promote continuous service improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, project coordination, operations, or related analytical roles.
• Proven ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable business strategies.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills with experience developing reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Experience in gathering business requirements, documenting processes, and supporting initiatives for business improvement.
• Familiarity with Power BI, SAP, or comparable reporting and analytics tools is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, effective in presenting data insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, Planning, or a similar field.
• Possession of a valid G driver's license and access to a vehicle to conduct occasional site visits.

Additional Information

Salary: $70,000 to $82,000 annually.
