Role Summary
The Bids & Project Manager will lead high-value and strategic bids in the security domain, typically exceeding 30 million SGD. This leader is responsible for establishing and enforcing bid tools and processes aligned with Thales' standards. The role demands negotiation and clarification interactions with customers to optimize bid outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of complex bids, particularly large-scale solutions and system integration projects.
- Maintain uniformity in bid management by applying established tools and methodologies.
- Analyze client requests for proposals, identify customer challenges, and leverage Thales' competitive advantages.
- Collaborate across internal departments to craft winning proposals that address client needs and promote company solutions.
- Coordinate communications between internal teams and clients regarding tender clarifications, corrigenda, cost assessments, and pricing reviews.
- Lead the preparation, review, and governance of all bid documentation to ensure high-quality proposals.
- Support Sales and Business Development teams in opportunity qualification.
- Contribute actively to creating and executing strategic plans for winning bids and capture.
- Manage bid budgets related to resources and supporting functions.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business disciplines with a minimum of five years of experience, preferably in the Security or Defense sectors.
- Strong focus on results with the ability to motivate and operate effectively within teams.
- Technical expertise combined with significant commercial exposure.
- Excellent attention to detail with high quality standards.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation capabilities.
- Proven international work experience.
- Experience in strategic long-cycle sales involving public sector procurement processes.
- Skilled in navigating complex global matrix organizations.
