Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate extensive manual QA experience, specializing in API testing, integration testing, and backend verification within distributed systems.
• Validate REST and SOAP APIs proficiently using tools such as Postman, curl, or similar utilities, including thorough analysis of requests, responses, headers, and error handling mechanisms.
• Possess strong knowledge of Linux environments, capable of using command-line tools, performing log analysis, monitoring processes, and employing basic shell scripting for debugging and validation tasks.
• Efficiently troubleshoot issues across multiple layers including API, service, and database by analyzing logs and system behavior to determine root causes.
• Prepare comprehensive test cases, API test scenarios, and create precise defect reports with detailed reproduction steps and supporting logs.
• Work collaboratively in agile teams closely with developers to maintain high-quality standards for product releases.
• Apply good understanding of API automation testing using frameworks or tools like Karate, RestAssured, or equivalents.
• Experience incorporating Javascript in automation or manual testing projects.
