Role Overview

The Associate Data Engineer plays a critical role in supporting executive decision-making and strategic planning by ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and reliability of financial and operational data. This position involves maintaining data flows, analyzing financial metrics, building insightful reports, and collaborating with business leaders across the organization to identify trends and opportunities that influence business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain data integrity and seamless data transfer between various ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
• Integrate multiple data sources into reporting platforms or data warehouses for consistent analytics.
• Help develop new reporting functions and key performance indicators to support business analysis.
• Provide training and support to colleagues on the use of reporting software.
• Manage access permissions and security settings for reporting tools.
• Build and sustain reports that enable segment and company leadership to make critical operating decisions.
• Analyze data to unveil potential growth and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with segment and business leaders to comprehend and respond to business information needs.
• Incorporate data from new acquisitions into financial reporting and analytics.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives, including managing the annual operating planning process for select business segments.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to local or segment presidents regarding forecast assumptions, providing recommendations and analysis.
• Create tools and templates aimed at streamlining budgeting workflows.
• Prepare management reports and support executive, board, and investor relations materials, including financial segment reports, customer/vendor/product analyses, payroll and headcount reviews, net working capital evaluations, and rate/volume assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or minimum of three years relevant experience, preferably in Computer Science or Data Engineering.
• Proficient SQL skills are essential; experience with Python and data warehouses such as Snowflake is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Power Automate and ETL tools.
• Strong analytical abilities with a quantitative mindset.
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward achieving success.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Competence in operating cameras, computers, lighting, and production equipment.
• Occasional travel by car or plane may be necessary.

Work Environment

This position is primarily based onsite at the headquarters located at 188 Inverness Dr. W Ste. 675, Englewood, CO 80112. Regular attendance in person is expected Monday through Thursday, with Friday being an optional remote workday.
