Position Overview

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM), also known as the Duty Manager, plays a pivotal role in managing daily store operations, ensuring seamless customer experiences, and supervising employees during assigned shifts. While supermarket or grocery background is preferable, candidates with leadership and customer service expertise in apparel, fashion, quick service restaurants (QSR), or lifestyle sectors are also welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee smooth functioning of daily store activities throughout the shift.
• Manage floor operations, allocate staff effectively, and drive excellent customer service.
• Keep track of inventory levels, ensure stock availability, and monitor shrinkage control.
• Supervise cash counters ensuring billing accuracy and adherence to procedures.
• Address customer escalations to uphold high satisfaction standards.
• Maintain hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance within the store premises.
• Assist the Store Manager in boosting sales and achieving set targets.
• Inspire, guide, and support store associates for improved performance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in managing store operations and supervising teams.
• Strong understanding of merchandising, inventory control, and customer handling.
• Basic education qualification is accepted.
