About the Role
The Froebel Education Department at Maynooth University invites applications for an Assistant Lecturer position in English Language and Literacy in Primary School education. The successful candidate will be an accomplished academic with demonstrable experience in teaching, research, and scholarly publication appropriate to their career stage.
Key Responsibilities
The appointed lecturer will contribute meaningfully to the Department's academic programs, delivering lectures and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects. They will also serve as a School Placement Tutor, supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students during their school-based placements.
Research Expectations
The individual is expected to establish and maintain a robust research agenda aligned with the University's strategic goals. This includes affiliating with research institutes when suitable and collaborating on both national and international scholarly initiatives. Ongoing research, engagement in quality scholarship, and publication of work meeting international standards are fundamental to this role.
Appointment Details
- Salary range: 43,025 to 73,445 per annum (14 points scale)
- The appointment is subject to public sector salary regulations and University statutes.
