Job Overview
The role of Assistant IT Helpdesk is based in Abu Dhabi within the higher education sector. It requires candidates to have between two to four years of experience and an Associate Degree.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first and second-level support for hardware and software-related queries.
- Diagnose and resolve issues on laptops running Windows and macOS, workstations, and mobile devices.
- Assist end users with the Learning Management System (LMS) and Student Information System (SIS), including problems with course access, enrollment, and navigation of the portal.
- Oversee the entire management cycle of campus devices such as imaging, deploying software, handling patches, and performing security updates.
- Support enterprise productivity software and specialized engineering applications used for research and educational purposes.
- Maintain and repair on-site audiovisual equipment.
- Provide assistance with fundamental network connectivity issues including troubleshooting Wi-Fi, configuring VPN setups, and managing users via Active Directory.
- Develop instructional materials such as user manuals, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
- Manage and track support tickets to closure ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
