Join our dynamic Program Management Office team in Riyadh as an Assistant Contracts Manager, contributing to significant projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report compliance of designers, contractors, and other parties with contractual obligations and progress milestones.
  • Work closely with the site team to evaluate both contractual and practical measures ensuring requirements are met and provide advice regarding specific contractual provisions and performance.
  • Analyze the contractual consequences of on-site decisions and optimize contract conditions practically.
  • Review all contract correspondence involving contractors and consultants.
  • Maintain detailed trackers regarding securities, early warnings, and claims.
  • Provide advice on entitlements related to variations and claims and propose suitable resolutions.
  • Examine contract documents related to consultants and contractors.
  • Participate in and manage performance evaluations concerning consultants and contractors.
  • Advise on compliance with Tender and Procurement Law.
  • Evaluate technical and financial tender proposals thoroughly.
  • Ensure that any project changes adhere to contractual provisions.
  • Recommend enhancements in contract management processes aligned with Client protocols.
  • Advise on entitlement and valuation concerning time and cost claims.
  • Maintain effective relationships with departments including Design, Construction, Engineering, Procurement, and Legal to ensure smooth organizational interactions.
  • Collaborate with the PMO Cost Management team for Change Order management.
  • Negotiate and agree on reimbursement valuation methods with clients and Parsons representatives.
  • Coordinate with contractors to reach agreement on valuation matters.
  • Manage directives and variations, review client requirements, assess impacts, negotiate omissions or additional costs, and report on contract implications involving all parties.
  • Oversee Final Account management, preparing, submitting, and obtaining agreement with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience in commercial or contract roles within Grade A contractors is preferred.
  • Proven involvement in Infrastructure works or related fields.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Construction Technology, Civil Infrastructure Engineering, or Architecture.
  • Ability to interpret contract terms and understand their legal implications on construction projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with logical and impartial judgment applied to contractual communications.
  • Proficient in English language with effective written communication.
  • Knowledge of measurement principles and sound understanding of legal principles application.
  • Membership in a chartered organization like RICS is an advantage.

Preferred Skills and Traits

  • Comprehensive understanding of contractual terms, conditions, scope of work, compensation schedules, project milestones, critical paths, and contract administration needs.
  • Sound familiarity with FIDIC and other contract standards.
  • Client-facing experience and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail with excellent planning and organizational capabilities.
  • General management skills including integrity, sound judgment, result-driven mindset, and strong focus.
