Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible and professional presence within stores to deter theft, fraud, and other policy breaches.
- Safely and lawfully detain offenders, adhering strictly to company protocols and legal standards.
- Conduct thorough internal and external investigations, collect and analyze evidence, and collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Work with store management to detect loss patterns and develop effective prevention measures.
- Ensure store operations comply with company policies, security standards, and provincial legislation.
- Adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment, managing a flexible schedule and responding promptly to challenges.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a valid Provincial Security Guard License.
- Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and related laws.
- Hands-on experience with CCTV systems, surveillance technology, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a confident, approachable, and respectful manner.
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Previous experience in grocery, pharmacy, or other high-traffic retail environments is considered advantageous.
