Job description
Position Summary
The role of Scheduling Specialist involves implementing network plans by ensuring timely and accurate schedule updates that support operational effectiveness.
Key Duties
- Create and oversee aircraft utilization strategies to enhance usage effectiveness while aligning commercial goals with operational reliability, working closely with Network Planning and related commercial and operational units.
- Execute schedule modifications and coordinate the adjustment process across departments to guarantee passengers receive timely notifications and all involved parties remain informed.
- Administer the airline's slot inventory by engaging with airport slot coordinators to secure new slots or upgrade existing departure and arrival times.
- Consistently refresh and distribute operational and marketing flight schedules to internal teams and external partners.
- Assist with regulatory tasks, including applying for seasonal and occasional schedule authorizations and other compliance-related activities.
- Verify accurate loading of schedules into various downstream operational platforms.
- Manage re-accommodation of passengers pursuant to prescribed procedures and resolve issues promptly as they arise.
- Address system-related challenges and advocate for necessary improvements through business cases.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of at least a Bachelor's degree in areas such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Aviation, Operations Research, Business Administration, or Science & Engineering.
- Previous experience in airline network planning or scheduling functions or in similar industries is advantageous.
- Background in the travel sector is desirable though not mandatory.
