Role Overview
The Corporate Advisory Analyst position is a full-time role based at the Sydney office. Key functions include supporting advisory mandates such as mergers and acquisitions, capital sourcing, investor relations, and strategic advisory assignments across various sectors. Regular tasks cover developing and maintaining detailed financial models, performing company and market analyses, preparing client pitch books and transaction documentation, and participating in due diligence processes. The role demands the analysis of market data and valuations, contribution to investment memoranda and recommendations, and coordination with internal teams and clients to ensure prompt execution. Managing multiple projects while upholding analytical excellence and fostering new advisory initiatives is essential.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong proficiency in financial analysis and modeling techniques including discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction assessments.
- Capability to perform comprehensive company, industry, and market research, and effectively synthesize findings into data-driven insights.
- Experience creating polished presentations and pitch materials suitable for senior stakeholders and clients.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage clients.
- Meticulous attention to detail and adeptness in managing several projects under strict time constraints.
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or related field; progress towards CFA or equivalent professional certification is advantageous.
- Two to four years of relevant experience in equity research, corporate advisory, investment management, or related sectors.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, along with strong skills in PowerPoint and Word to deliver clean, ASX-standard presentations and reports. Familiarity with Capital IQ software is a plus.
- Demonstrated interest and adaptability towards multi-asset class investing and advisory services spanning equities, credit, and natural resources.
