Job Overview
As an AI & Data Analyst, you will apply your foundational data coding skills and analytical knowledge to craft innovative tech solutions for diverse client needs. Key Responsibilities
- Create and sustain data pipelines by assisting ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and load information from various sources.
- Develop and enhance SQL queries to aid in data validation, reporting, and analytical tasks.
- Oversee data integrity and consistency, identify issues, troubleshoot basic errors, and escalate defects as necessary.
- Support the maintenance of data platforms and tools, including routine upkeep, job scheduling, and monitoring pipelines.
- Document data flow processes and collaborate with colleagues to comprehend data requirements and ensure accuracy.
Work Environment
This role requires working onsite at least three days per week, with a preferred location in Mississauga, Ontario. The position offers dynamic daily tasks and opportunities to contribute to significant client projects within a network of technology and data experts.
Qualifications
- Completion of the Canada Apprentice Program anticipated by August 2026.
- Proficiency with SQL and relational databases, including basic query writing, joins, and aggregations.
- Working knowledge of Python or similar programming languages for data manipulation, scripting, ETL, or modeling.
- Familiarity with data engineering principles such as ETL pipelines, data warehouses, plus some exposure to BI tools or version control systems like Git.
- Between six months and one year of experience in data engineering or visualization, including academic projects or internships.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Exposure to modern data infrastructure tools like Databricks or Snowflake.
- Experience working with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with ETL tools, API integrations, or automation frameworks for data onboarding and transformation.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly salary range for this position in British Columbia and Ontario is from 24.45 to 48.49 CAD. Compensation depends on factors including location, role specifics, skills, and experience.
