Job Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist is integral to the finance team, responsible for managing high volumes of transactions related to processing expense reports and vendor invoices.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve transaction processing targets within a fast-paced accounts payable environment
• Match and process invoices against purchase orders, resolving discrepancies as needed
• Verify invoices for proper approvals and documentation prior to issuing payments
• Address vendor and internal inquiries promptly and effectively
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate variances to ensure accuracy
• Support departmental tasks including processing expense reports, managing Excel reporting, and handling data imports and exports
• Coordinate payments on a weekly schedule
• Maintain thorough and compliant record-keeping aligned with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in accounts payable, finance, or operations roles (internship experience considered)
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Keen interest in leveraging automation and process enhancements
• Understanding of GAAP principles
• Proficiency with Excel and experience using MS Dynamics 365 or equivalent ERP systems
• Knowledge of SQL is beneficial
• Strong communication capabilities, both verbal and written
• Ability to operate independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, high-volume setting prioritizing accuracy and timeliness
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Additional Requirements

• Availability to work overtime or weekends as necessary
• This position requires full-time onsite presence at the Hawthorne, CA location; remote or hybrid work arrangements are not offered

Compensation and Benefits

Salary ranges vary by level:
Level 1: $30 - $34 per hour
Level 2: $33 - $38 per hour
Level 3: $120,000 - $175,000 annually
Your final compensation will reflect your knowledge, experience, and education.
