Accounting Associate

About the Role

An MNC client requires an Accounting Associate to support multiple finance functions within the Record-to-Report (RTR) cycle, including cash management, intercompany transactions, salary and wages, professional fees, and general accounting tasks. This role is centered around ensuring meticulous management of functional documentation, balance sheet reconciliations, accounting entries, and data analyses to maintain financial accuracy and compliance. This position is distinctly not related to taxation functions but focuses on managing processes within RTR.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records across various functions using spreadsheets and accounting systems.
• Execute account reconciliations for RTR-related functional accounts and internal ledgers.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and analyze outstanding items related to RTR functions.
• Perform basic financial analyses to verify calculations and detect discrepancies.
• Provide support during audits by organizing and supplying the necessary documentation.
• Collaborate internally to address any queries or inconsistencies in RTR-related activities.
• Ensure prompt and precise data entry for RTR transactions.

Qualifications and Skills

• 1 to 4 years of experience in finance roles focusing on the RTR process.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and logical operators.
• Solid grasp of accounting standards and reconciliation methodologies.
• Capability to conduct fundamental financial or functional data analyses.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Effective organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
• Preferred experience includes working with corporate finance RTR functions or related finance roles.
• Familiarity with ERP software such as SAP or Oracle is advantageous.
