Internship Overview
We are currently seeking a Video Editor Intern to produce engaging video content for digital platforms like Instagram and YouTube. This remote internship, lasting three months, offers a monthly stipend ranging from 4000 to 5000 INR. It is open to freshers or individuals with up to one year of experience who have a passion for video editing and storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Edit both short-form content such as Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts and longer videos for YouTube and other channels.
- Transform raw footage, scripts, and concepts into captivating visual stories.
- Add elements including captions, transitions, sound effects, music, and graphics to enhance videos.
- Create fundamental motion graphics, animated texts, intros, outros, and visual hooks aligned with brand identity.
- Adapt long-form videos into engaging short clips to maximize audience engagement.
- Collaborate with content and marketing teams to develop video briefs and conceptual ideas.
- Stay updated on latest trends in video editing and social media content.
- Incorporate feedback promptly and make efficient revisions.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of video editing principles and visual storytelling.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation techniques.
- Strong sense of pacing, typography, composition, and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or equivalents.
- Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines.
- Creative mindset with willingness to experiment with different styles.
- Strong receptiveness to feedback and rapid improvement.
- Preferred: Experience with educational or social media content editing, kinetic typography, motion design, and understanding of YouTube audience retention.
- A portfolio or showreel showcasing video editing skills is highly recommended.
