About the Fellowship
The Quality Assurance Fellowship at Utpatti - The Finishing School is a six-month industry-led program designed to bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and practical corporate experience. Unlike traditional internships, fellows engage directly with live business projects, receive structured mentoring, and develop hands-on skills to solve real-world challenges under the guidance of experienced professionals. This initiative exposes fellows to the operations of high-growth companies and provides an excellent foundation for building a career in QA engineering and software testing.
Role Overview
As a QA engineering fellow, participants will gain valuable experience in manual testing, planning and designing test cases, bug identification and reporting, regression and API testing, learning fundamentals of automation testing, and overall software quality assurance. The role involves working across various products not only in India but also in the Singapore and Malaysia markets, emphasizing ownership and practical learning to produce job-ready QA professionals.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Perform quality assurance and testing for products of Mitt Arv Technologies, Travel & Payments, ScamBuster, Utpatti, EXT India, and affiliated companies.
- Develop and document detailed test cases for software applications.
- Conduct functional tests to detect software issues.
- Validate API functionalities to ensure expected performance.
- Track and manage defects across the testing lifecycle.
- Compile quality reports based on testing results.
- Acquire foundational skills in automation testing.
- Contribute to the release of high-quality software products.
- Support business growth through diligent QA activities.
Who Should Apply
Applicants must be Hyderabad-based Computer Science Engineering students or recent graduates with relevant skills and interest in QA engineering. Full-time, in-office availability for six months is mandatory, with internship commencement between July 31, 2026, and September 4, 2026. Specific attendance conditions apply depending on student or graduate status, including working on Saturdays and availability during the latter part of weekdays.
Additional Information and Requirements
- Candidates must commit to completing the entire fellowship period.
- Possession of a personal laptop is required for the fellowship duration.
- The workweek is five days, with Sunday and Monday off.
- Students currently enrolled in college should be able to attend the office during the second half of their designated weekdays.
- Graduates are expected to work Tuesday through Saturday in the office.
Stipend and Benefits
The fellowship offers a monthly stipend between ₹4000 to ₹5000. Upon successful conversion to permanent employment, the expected annual salary ranges from ₹300,000 to ₹450,000.
