Workplace Creche Assistant

About the role

Crèche Collective is hiring for a calm, nurturing childcare position at its workplace crèche in Perth CBD. This is a casual care setting with small numbers of children, allowing the team to work at an unhurried pace, form genuine bonds, and maintain a relaxed, play-centred environment.

Shift options

• Full-day roster: 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, including a 1-hour lunch break
• Lunch cover shift: 11:00am to 2:00pm
• Flexible working days based on your availability
• Relief shifts to cover leave and sick days

What the job involves

• Spending time with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years through play and positive interaction
• Creating enjoyable, imaginative activities; craft lovers are especially encouraged
• Leading songs, reading stories, and joining in on play-based learning
• Assisting with meals, snacks, and nap times
• Keeping the environment tidy, organised, and inviting

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years of experience caring for babies and young children
• A warm, upbeat, and caring approach
• Current WWCC, National Police Clearance, and First Aid, or willingness to obtain them
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Early childhood qualifications or current study in the field are an advantage, but not required
