Warehouse Supervisor and Transport Coordinator

Role Overview

This position requires managing both warehouse supervision and transport coordination activities to ensure efficient handling and dispatch of products. The candidate will oversee warehouse operations, ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, and coordinate with transport partners for timely shipment delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the handling of temperature-sensitive products by warehouse partners to maintain quality standards.
• Oversee loading and unloading activities conducted by warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor pallet usage and optimize storage space utilization within the warehouse.
• Ensure all warehouse operational standard operating procedures are strictly followed by partners.
• Plan daily vehicle requirements aligned with dispatch schedules for effective transportation.
• Coordinate with transporters to arrange and allocate vehicles based on shipment size and delivery timelines.
• Monitor vehicle reports including loading status, dispatch timing, temperature maintenance, and arrival tracking.
• Track shipments continuously until final delivery to ensure timely receipt.
• Arrange emergency vehicles promptly in response to urgent needs.
• Verify transport documentation completeness before shipments are dispatched.
• Optimize freight load utilization and implement cost-reduction strategies in transportation.
• Maintain detailed records of transporters and trip sheets for operational transparency.
• Record and analyze vehicle turnaround times for performance improvement.
• Maintain dispatch MIS (Management Information System) reports for management review.
• Ensure proper collection and filing of Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.
• Coordinate with customers regarding dispatch schedules, providing shipment updates and delivery status reports.
• Promptly resolve any dispatch-related challenges for smooth operations.
• Ensure achievement of customer service level agreements related to dispatch and delivery.
• Ensure timely receipt of payments from customers as per agreements.

Compensation

The salary offered ranges from 25,000 to 35,000 INR monthly.
