Role Overview

The VoidZero team develops influential open-source developer tools like Vite. This role centers on enhancing these projects to boost developer productivity by designing and delivering features, improving performance, reliability, and usability, and collaborating with the wider open-source community to increase adoption and ease onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and release new features that enhance developer tooling.
Engage with and collaborate across the open-source ecosystem for better adoption and onboarding.
Enhance the performance, reliability, and overall user experience of VoidZero projects.

Candidate Profile

Experienced with JavaScript and TypeScript development.
Strong passion for open-source and active in developer communities.
Background in framework development, developer tools, or product infrastructure.
Keen product insight and commitment to excellent developer experience.
Skilled in deep problem investigation, debugging ambiguous issues, and evidence-based reasoning.
Experienced with remote teamwork across multiple time zones.
Clear written communication skills and strong sense of ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Rust programming is highly advantageous.
Experience maintaining open-source projects.
Familiarity with compilers, bundlers, test runners, and caching mechanisms.
Hands-on experience or knowledge of Vite, Vitest, Rolldown, Oxc, and Vite+ projects.
