Role Overview and Responsibilities

This position involves independently maintaining and inspecting video recording equipment, and filming key military events such as Basic Combat Training (BCT) and other operations related to the Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) mission. The candidate will work closely with military leadership or designated personnel to capture footage that aligns with operational concepts. Tasks include selecting appropriate cameras and equipment, operating various production devices including lighting and audio tools, and assisting with duplication processes for training and graduation videos.

Job Duties

• Operate and maintain video equipment with minimal supervision.
• Record footage of BCT and military operations events with attention to organizational requirements.
• Work collaboratively with military leadership to ensure filming meets operational goals.
• Participate in duplicating graduation and training productions.
• Conduct analyses to assess customer satisfaction related to filming quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Conditions

• Must provide direct deposit information and a Social Security Card.
• Meet eligibility and background requirements including a Tier 1 background check and E-Verify verification.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
• Adherence to changes in position, duty hours, or location based on mission needs.

Education/Experience: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester hours focused on video production, digital media, or related fields. Alternatively, applicants with three years of general work experience—including one year at a higher level—and demonstrated skills in camera selection, equipment transport, and operation are eligible.

• Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, lift, and carry equipment up to 35 pounds.
• Capacity to perform repetitive tasks either sitting or standing for extended durations.
• Ability to work quickly during longer shifts.
