Role Overview

We are seeking a creative and meticulous Video Editor specializing in long-form content. The ideal candidate will convert raw videos, podcasts, webinars, and educational materials into compelling, narrative-rich videos suitable for YouTube, masterclasses, documentaries, and educational platforms. This role focuses on ensuring storytelling excellence, audience engagement, and superior visual communication throughout the video content.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit diverse long-form videos including YouTube content, webinars, masterclasses, documentaries, and other educational materials.
• Manage the entire post-production workflow from raw footage assembly to final polished video delivery.
• Design videos with effective storytelling techniques, appropriate pacing, smooth transitions, B-roll incorporation, and visual cues to sustain viewer interest.
• Produce and embed motion graphics, text animations, lower-thirds, data visualizations, and visual effects using Adobe After Effects.
• Conduct professional audio processing including noise reduction, music mixing, sound design, as well as color correction and grading for video enhancement.
• Transform long-form content into captivating short-form clips tailored for platforms like Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
• Collaborate intimately with content strategists, scriptwriters, designers, and marketing personnel to bring creative vision to life.
• Maintain well-organized project files, assets, timelines, and workflows, efficiently handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ensure consistent branding, storytelling quality, and visual standards across all produced content.
• Stay current with the latest video editing trends, YouTube standards, and evolving content creation techniques.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• 2 to 4 years of professional experience editing long-form content such as YouTube videos, documentaries, educational materials, podcasts, or similar digital media.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve alongside solid expertise in Adobe After Effects for motion graphics creation.
• Deep understanding of storytelling principles for long-form content, including pacing, narrative flow, and maximizing viewer retention.
• Experience creating visual effects like motion graphics, subtitles, lower-thirds, animations, and data visualizations.
• Proficient in audio editing, sound design, as well as color correction and grading techniques to elevate video quality.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain an organized workflow environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail complemented by a passion for creating high-quality, premium video content.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, thriving within a dynamic and fast-moving workplace.
• A robust portfolio demonstrating expertise in long-form video editing is highly desired.
