Job description
Position Overview
Our client, a prominent mid-sized private equity fund located in Düsseldorf, seeks a Manager-level professional to join its Value Creation team. The role involves collaborating closely with the investment team and portfolio company leadership to identify, execute, and track operational and commercial improvement projects across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute value creation strategies tailored for portfolio companies.
- Assist in operational and commercial due diligence assessments.
- Partner with CEOs, CFOs, and management teams to drive initiatives focused on growth, enhanced profitability, and improved cash flow.
- Spot opportunities in pricing strategies, procurement, working capital optimization, cost reductions, and sales performance enhancements.
- Contribute to 100-day plans, transformation programs, post-merger integrations, and exit preparations.
- Oversee portfolio company performance by monitoring KPIs and tracking execution against value creation plans.
- Compile detailed analyses and recommendations for investment committees and senior stakeholders.
- Manage coordination with external advisors and operating partners when necessary.
Candidate Profile
- Between 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in private equity value creation, portfolio operations, performance improvement, operational transformation, or strategy consulting.
- Demonstrated experience working with PE-backed companies or private equity investors.
- Proven success in generating tangible improvements in EBITDA, cash flow, costs, or revenues.
- Strong grasp of commercial, financial, and operational processes.
- Experience collaborating directly with senior management teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Fluency in both German and English languages.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Readiness to travel to various portfolio company locations.
