Trade Finance Manager

Role Overview

The Trade Finance Manager in Business Treasury Operations is charged with managing the entire trade finance workflow, overseeing liquidity, and ensuring strict compliance with related regulations. This position requires advanced capabilities in financial planning and communication, effectively delivering accurate working capital status updates to various stakeholders.

Educational and Professional Requirements

• Educational qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, ICWA, Inter CA, CFA, or equivalent financial management credentials.
• Professional experience: Between 10 to 12 years in operations or a related domain, with a minimum of 3 to 4 years in a mid-level leadership capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge of banking operations, trade finance, capital finance, as well as MIS and compliance activities.
• Administer critical trade finance instruments such as Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), Acceptance, Buyers Credit, and Vendor Finance.
• Maintain efficient processes ensuring transaction adherence to turnaround time (TAT) and perform ongoing audits to guarantee process effectiveness and excellence.
• Lead initiatives to identify process gaps and implement top-tier solutions that enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs, promoting the integration of automation and AI technologies.
• Manage financial reporting and forecasting for working capital, and oversee the end-to-end month-end closing activities.
• Coordinate stakeholder interaction via regular meetings, establish governance frameworks, issue timely escalations, and provide comprehensive performance reports.
• Drive the development of systems that offer near real-time transparency of trade finance functions to senior stakeholders including CFOs, business departments, and treasury teams.
