Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Trade Assistant to join our Brisbane workshop on a full-time, permanent basis. This position involves supporting our workshop tradesmen in maintaining our fleet to the highest standards. This role is a perfect entry point for individuals eager to start a career in the heavy vehicle industry who are motivated to learn and work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics with minor electrical repairs, panel beating, fleet washing, and other varied tasks as required.
- Perform basic servicing and repairs within the workshop yard.
- Monitor the fleet condition across the yard, reporting any damages or repair needs to the team promptly.
- Contribute positively to the team culture by working collaboratively and supporting colleagues.
- Work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a current HR license is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge or a strong interest in the mechanical field is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in a similar trade assistant role is preferred.
- Truck and trailer driving skills will be considered advantageous.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
