Role overview
REVEURSE TANZANIA COMPANY LIMITED is hiring a Tracking Officer to manage vehicle monitoring and support day-to-day fleet operations from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The role focuses on keeping vehicles on route, tracking movements in real time, and sharing timely updates with the wider team and customers.
Key responsibilities
- Use GPS and fleet management tools to follow vehicle movement, confirm route compliance, and check whether planned schedules are being met.
- Stay in regular contact with drivers to collect trip updates and relay important information during deliveries and transit.
- Spot route changes, unscheduled stops, delays, and any suspicious activity, then escalate concerns quickly to management.
- Compile and keep up-to-date daily tracking logs, trip summaries, and records of vehicle movements.
- Share vehicle status updates with customers, internal management, and other relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Support adherence to company transport rules, safety practices, and operational standards.
- Review fuel usage patterns and flag unusual consumption or possible misuse.
- Document and report incidents such as accidents, breakdowns, security events, and other transport-related problems.
- Check delivery timelines and make sure proof of delivery is collected and filed correctly.
- Help maintain fleet tracking platforms, databases, and operational documentation.
Qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate should hold a diploma or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline. A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in fleet tracking, logistics operations, transportation, or a comparable position is required. Experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or clearing and forwarding will be considered an added advantage.
Technical knowledge and working skills
- Hands-on familiarity with GPS tracking tools, fleet management software, and vehicle monitoring systems.
- Solid understanding of transport operations, route coordination, and trip planning.
- Working knowledge of local traffic rules, transport compliance requirements, and road safety practices.
- Competence in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

This is a contract position based onsite in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
