About Avista
Avista is a rights-based, person-centered organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and adults with disabilities. We deliver a variety of services including day programs, residential care, and respite support across Dublin, Limerick, and North Tipperary.
Position Overview
We are seeking a committed Therapy Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team at St. Vincent’s Centre in Limerick on a permanent full-time basis (39 hours per week). The role involves supporting people with intellectual disabilities and their families in a community-based, socially inclusive and person-centred environment, aligned with our core values, best practices, and quality research.
Salary & Contract
The salary range is €36,651 to €45,939, contingent on relevant public sector experience.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Full FETAC Level 5 QQI healthcare qualification.
- Full clean manual Irish driving license and access to a car are mandatory.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
- Capability to manage time efficiently, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Interest and experience working with adults with intellectual, physical and sensory disabilities, including those with or without autism, and individuals who present challenging behaviors.
- Possession of Level 1 behavioral competencies as outlined in Avista’s competency framework.
