Test Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous and quality-driven Test Analyst to validate and assure the performance, reliability, and functionality of our software products. This position involves creating, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts to detect issues ahead of product launches.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop robust test strategies.
• Conduct various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance tests.
• Document identified defects with detailed reproduction instructions and impact analysis.
• Work closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to troubleshoot and confirm resolutions.
• Continuously enhance testing processes to improve product stability and quality assurance standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Business Analysis, or a related discipline.
• Solid grounding in software testing concepts, methodologies, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Proficient at interpreting requirements, user stories, and technical details to design effective test scenarios.
• Experienced in creating and executing test plans, cases, and scripts.
• Knowledgeable in functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and acceptance testing methods.
• Familiar with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or equivalents.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with iterative development cycles.
• Basic proficiency in databases and SQL for backend data validation testing.
• Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman or similar applications.
• Understanding of test automation principles and tools is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to articulate technical issues clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Effective documentation skills for creating well-structured test reports.
• Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple testing tasks within deadlines.
• Dedication to upholding high software quality and fostering continual improvements.
