Technical Evaluator – Operations

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Technical Evaluator specializing in refinery operations to carry out technical assessments and operational support for critical refinery process units. This role focuses on ensuring the units' optimal performance, reliability, and adherence to engineering and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 15 years of professional experience in refinery operations.
• Extensive hands-on expertise with Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU), Unsaturated Gas Plant, Alkylation Unit, Sulfuric Acid Recovery Unit, and Selective Hydrogenation Unit.
• Experience working in Saudi Aramco facilities or other notable refinery environments is highly desirable.

Principal Duties

• Perform comprehensive technical evaluations and analyze the performance of refinery process units.
• Deliver technical and operational support specifically for FCCU, Unsaturated Gas Plant, Alkylation Unit, Sulfuric Acid Recovery Unit, and Selective Hydrogenation Unit.
• Examine process data thoroughly to identify operational inefficiencies, deviations, and potential areas for enhancement.
• Review operational protocols, technical plans, and submissions from contractors concerning refinery process units.
• Assist in diagnosing operational disturbances, conducting root cause analyses, and undertaking detailed technical investigations.
• Liaise with process engineers, operations personnel, and maintenance teams to enhance unit reliability and performance.
• Ensure all evaluations meet health, safety, environment (HSE), quality benchmarks, and refinery operational standards.
• Generate detailed technical reports and propose actionable recommendations for operational advancements.
• Contribute to planning turnaround activities and perform technical readiness assessments for the specified units.
