About the Role
Join a well-established specialist supplier within the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) sector as a Technical Design & Projects Coordinator. This office-based position in Northfleet, Kent offers a unique opportunity to support the engineering team by bridging the gap between sales, customers, CAD teams, and fabrication partners. The position focuses on transforming engineering inquiries into fully realized, practical solutions without involving direct sales activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify detailed technical drawings using CAD tools.
- Interpret customer specifications, sketches, and requirements accurately.
- Provide technical support to the sales team regarding engineering inquiries.
- Collaborate with external CAD providers and fabrication suppliers.
- Review and ensure designs are feasible and manufacturable.
- Manage the approval workflow for design and drawings.
- Engage with suppliers to guarantee projects meet specifications.
- Assist in project tracking and maintain technical documentation.
- Identify and resolve design-related issues with practical solutions.
- Participate in occasional site visits for technical support.
- Serve as the main internal point of contact for engineering queries.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant experience in Building Services, MEP, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical fields.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques, pipework, bracketry, support systems, or mechanical installations is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Capability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Practical problem-solving mindset with enthusiasm for technical challenges.

Working Conditions & Benefits
- Fixed working hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
