Role Overview

We are seeking a Teacher in Charge of Commerce who will be the leading authority for Commerce subjects, assisting the Head of Department in ensuring a consistently outstanding educational experience across all delivery formats. This position involves teaching, mentoring, and course content oversight aligned with Pearson Edexcel International GCSE and A-Level standards.

Reporting directly to the Principal/Head of Department, you will deliver 20 out of the 22 teaching periods weekly, with two release periods dedicated to subject leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Commerce instruction and provide individual tutoring in your areas of expertise.
  • Design and implement lessons fully aligned with Pearson Edexcel IGCSE and A-Level curricula.
  • Manage and update course materials, lesson plans, and resources in the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Assist the Head of Department with quality assurance activities such as learning observations and moderation.
  • Guide, mentor, and support the induction of other Commerce teachers.
  • Participate in curriculum evaluation, exam planning, and assessment preparation strategies.
  • Contribute to post-examination analysis, intervention programs, and ongoing student performance tracking.
  • Promote the use of digital teaching methods and facilitate the sharing of best practices.
  • Inspire students to engage in enrichment activities such as competitions and Commerce-related clubs.
