Role Description

The full-time Taxi Driver position requires onsite presence in Spruce Grove, AB. Responsibilities involve operating the taxi safely, transporting passengers to their destinations, and adhering to traffic regulations and company safety guidelines. Drivers will plan effective routes, coordinate trip schedules, assist passengers with boarding and alighting as necessary, and ensure the taxi is clean and presentable. Additional duties include processing fare payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining friendly communication throughout the ride. Drivers must liaise with dispatch effectively, respond promptly to ride requests, and report any incidents or vehicle maintenance issues immediately.

Qualifications

• Proficient driving skills including safe vehicle operation, basic maintenance checks, and thorough knowledge of local roads and traffic conditions
• Willingness to undergo training in company policies, safety, and customer service
• Competency in sales-related tasks such as promoting services, handling fares accurately, and building positive customer rapport
• Possession of a valid provincial driver’s license (Class 4, 2, or 1) with a clean driving record
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a customer-oriented mindset
• Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required
• Dependability, punctuality, and capacity to work independently with limited supervision
• Previous experience in taxi, rideshare, or other professional driving roles is advantageous but not mandatory
