About the Role
Wealthfront is seeking a dedicated Talent Intelligence Analyst to enhance hiring practices across the organization, with a particular focus on the engineering division. Working closely with executive stakeholders, this role plays a crucial part in supporting hiring managers who take charge of candidate engagement throughout the recruiting journey. Emphasis is on quality and efficiency rather than volume.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain detailed talent maps highlighting which companies, teams, and products truly align with the profiles needed, distinguishing genuine fits from seeming but unsuitable options.
- Create well-supported conviction packets for candidates advanced in the process: outlining their achievements, evidence of their capabilities, identified risks, and critical areas for interview assessment.
- Make informed negative decisions and defend them, ensuring equal attention is given to candidates screened out as to those moved forward.
- Guide leadership in refining role definitions and hiring criteria through insights gained from talent market analysis.
- Identify passive candidates by engaging with technical communities, evaluating conference presentations, open source contributions, and published writings rather than relying solely on database searches.
- Extract and organize data regarding talent movements between competitors, signals of team growth, compensation and title benchmarks, and concentrations of specific skill sets.
- Contribute to the evolution of team methodologies, including frameworks, templates, and sourcing strategies.
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience producing analytical written work that informs decision-making, preferably in executive search research, talent intelligence, technical sourcing, equity research, consulting, or an equivalently analytical position; specialized research proficiency is valued over recruiting experience.
- Strong systems thinking ability to evaluate discrete decisions alongside their subsequent impacts.
- Capability to clarify complex, disorganized information into concise summaries.
- Skill in interpreting technical backgrounds and identifying meaningful indicators such as GitHub activity, conference talks, technical blogs, or career advancement patterns.
- Exceptional written communication skills with a focus on precision and specificity.
- Comfort in interacting with senior leadership, transparently communicating confidence levels and evidence that might influence assessments.
- Willingness to engage in constructive disagreement, even when perspectives differ from hiring partners.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range runs from $110,000 to $140,000 annually, complemented by equity and performance-based bonuses. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision), a 401(k) plan with company match, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, generous paid time off, parental leave, wellness reimbursements, professional growth opportunities, and employee investment discounts.
