Job Overview
The role of Systems Engineer at Greenjets involves supporting the design, development, and implementation of intricate aerospace and unmanned systems. It demands sound technical decision-making, methodical thinking, and effective collaboration with clients, suppliers, and internal teams within a fast-paced and dynamic development context.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage system requirements, architectures, and interfaces related to electrical, avionics, and powertrain subsystems.
- Collect, analyze, and oversee requirements throughout the product development stages.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to convert operational demands into practical technical solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering groups to facilitate system integration and troubleshoot technical challenges.
- Take part in design assessments, risk evaluations, issue resolution, and project preparedness initiatives.
- Assist in verification and validation tasks, including test strategy planning, system integration, and flight testing.
- Participate in safety and airworthiness processes such as hazard identification and conducting system safety assessments.
- Utilize systems engineering methodologies and industry best practices to guarantee successful delivery of products.
- Support interactions with suppliers and contribute to technical reviews and client-facing engineering engagements as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Proven background in systems engineering within aerospace, defence, automotive, motorsport, unmanned vehicles, or other advanced technology sectors.
- Good understanding of systems engineering fundamentals including requirements management, system integration, verification and validation, along with product lifecycle development.
- Experience with aircraft electrical systems, avionics, battery/energy storage, electric propulsion, power electronics, flight control, mission, or integrated vehicle systems.
- Awareness of aerospace safety and regulatory development standards.
- Familiarity with systems engineering and requirements management software such as Jama, Polarion, Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or equivalent tools is a plus.
- Strong abilities in communication, problem-solving, and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Comfort working within diverse engineering teams and adaptability to changing requirements and development conditions.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of German or additional languages is advantageous for collaboration across international teams.
